The National Spanish Honor Society held
a morning meet and greet with breakfast
to welcome Shadya to the school.
Shadya also met some other exchange "teachers" from
Paraguay and also the principal of the high school.

Wednesday it was too cold and too icey
so school was canceled!
Shadya hasn't had a full week of school yet.
Next week she will probably go 5 days.

Shadya has seen lots of basketball this weekend!
Last night she saw the CHHS (her high school) girls
play GHS (the other high school in our district).
We lost.
Then she saw the boys from GHS and CHHS
play basketball.
We lost again.
This morning she saw the team that Gregg
coaches and Jacob plays on win big!
Jacob alone had 14 points.
All of the boys wanted to be in the
photo with Shadya and Jacob.

It was time for a new video and what
better to do then learn about
Shadya's new school experiences!

It took us a long time to get Shadya
registered for school, but Brynne was there to
keep us company!
Watch for video later today when
Shadya can describe her first day
in a Texas high school!

Shadya had to get one shot before she could start school.
That called for a special stop at Starbucks!
This was her first mocha Starbucks style!

It was not the most exciting TV ever, but Shadya and Brynne
got to watch Barak Obama get sworn in as the 44th
U.S. President.

We have tried all of the candy and the
Bon Bon Bums are very popular!
Elizabeth loves the caramels.
Brynne, Lacey and Jacob love their
Juan Valdez sweatshirts.
Jacob wore his to church yesterday!

It was an extremely long day for our friend from Columbia,
but she was all smiles and just darling!
We look forward to tomorrow after she has had what we
hope will be a good nights sleep!
